Meet Our Staff

Pastor David Brown
Senior Pastor

Pastor David Brown is originally from Detroit, MI. He earned a business degree (accounting major) from Wayne State University in 1969. He worked for several years as a senior auditor in a large accounting firm, before receiving the call to minister. He was ordained in 1976 and graduated from Midwestern Baptist College 1977. From August 1977 to November 1979 he served as controller for Dr. Jerry Falwell and Thomas Road Baptist Church Ministries. In November of 1979, he established Calvary Baptist Church in Uniontown, PA and pastored there until July of 1991. God’s fruit was abundant as the membership grew from 35 to over 1000! In July of 1991, Pastor Brown stepped out in faith to answer the call to shepherd our East Longmeadow church. He opens himself up fully to be utilized as only God wills. He is committed to mentoring godly leaders for the home and church with an emphasis on true Biblical discipleship. He has a heart for world missions, beginning with the East Longmeadow area and stretching to the ends of the Earth. He and his wife Bev have been married since 1970, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Pastor Garrett Johnston
Associate Pastor

Pastor Garrett Johnston is originally from Westbrook, ME. He graduated from Grace Baptist Church Academy in 1984 as Valedictorian. In June of 1987, he received the call to FBC as Youth Pastor while attending Baptist Bible College East. He graduated in 1989 and was ordained in 1995. He married DeAnna Bimpson just prior to coming to FBC in 1987. They have three daughters, Courtney, Hailey and Sydney. Garrett leads the youth and discipleship ministries and oversees the maintenance of the facilities and grounds.

Pastor Tim Sheranko
Assistant Pastor

Pastor Tim Sheranko is originally from Uniontown, PA. He assisted in the music ministry at Calvary Baptist Church as a teen. He graduated from Baptist Bible College East in Boston, MA in 1987 with a music ministry degree. While there, he was youth and music pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Mansfield, MA. After marrying his wife Nicole in 1989, they moved back to Uniontown, PA where Tim served as the area director for Youth for Christ International. In May of 1992, he became the Associate Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church and remained there until receiving the call to minister to First Baptist in December of 1996 as praise and worship pastor. He and Nicole have two daughters - Michaela and Madelyn.
